Compositions

Our very first compositions in class were done using MuseScore 4. Our task was to create four simple melodies in G major using a simple 8-bar form and a structure we decided in class.

Our next project involved selecting a melody, either one we had previously composed or a new creation. Once we had made our choice, we would explore various interpretations and variations, to experiment with different styles and techniques.

This is the composition I worked on for my music course prebac. The criterias were only that it had to be about two to eight minutes long and be structured using song structures we've studied in class. I made my using the cloud-based digital audio workstation Bandlab.

This composition is for a project where we had to prepare, structure, and create a variation of a Baroque dance. The goal was to transform the original piece using the twelve-tone system, allowing us to reinterpret the style in a new way.
